More than 1.1 million out-of-school children have now been enrolled in Punjab thanks to the efforts of the Punjab Education Foundation. This major achievement was discussed in a recent meeting led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, who praised the education department for their hard work. One of the key steps was outsourcing over 11,000 schools, which helped increase the number of students.

To further improve education, the Chief Minister ordered that Rs 10 billion worth of basic facilities be provided in schools within 90 days. She also directed that over 3,000 unsafe school buildings be repaired and new classrooms be built within one year.

A new goal has also been set: training 500,000 students in spoken English to improve their communication skills. This is part of a wider plan to modernize education across the province.

In addition to these efforts, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced new Tech-Ed schools, which will focus on technical education, helping students gain useful skills for future jobs.

School meal programs will also be expanded to support children’s health and learning. Another big project is the launch of Nawaz Sharif Schools of Eminence, which will be opened across districts to offer high-quality education.

These steps show a strong commitment by the Punjab government to improve education for all children, especially those who have never attended school. With better facilities, skill-based education, and health support, the future looks brighter for students in Punjab. The government’s aim is not just to increase numbers but to offer quality learning opportunities to every child.
