The 1 Billion Followers Summit, the first and largest of its kind globally, has adopted three new tracks in its third edition, which runs from 11 to 13 January 2025, under the theme ‘Content for Good’. Designed specifically to ensure content makers, amateurs and professionals alike, make the most out of its rich agenda, the 3 tracks cover technology, economy and content and meet the event’s diverse audience’s needs through immersive, sector-specific experiences.
In its previous edition, the 1 Billion Followers Summit proved the efficacy of the specialised tracks strategy, which provides a tailored experience for attendees, allowing for deep dives into specific topics through dedicated sessions and workshops. This focused approach fosters valuable networking opportunities and streamlines the event experience, maximising learning and collaboration. Additionally, it further enhances the Summit’s impact in driving innovation within the content creation community.
Holistic approach
Alia AlHammadi, CEO of the New Media Academy, said: “The new tracks at the 1 Billion Followers Summit align with our commitment to empowering a new generation of digital creatives, capable of shaping a promising and sustainable digital future. While offering a holistic approach to the industry as a whole, each track targets a specific category of content creators, offering insight on content, profit strategies or the impact of technology.”
“Since its inception, the Summit has been dedicated to providing practical tools and specialised knowledge through interactive workshops and discussions. These tracks build on that foundation, connecting experts with emerging influencers and creatives to help them produce positive, impactful content,” she added.
Optimise: Technology Track
The Technology Track empowers content creators to harness the power of cutting-edge technology. Participants will gain insights from industry experts, explore the latest advancements shaping the digital landscape, and discover how to leverage AI for wider reach. From enhancing user experience to navigating future trends, the Technology Track provides the tools and knowledge to elevate content through technological mastery.
Inspire: Content Track
Designed for emerging talent, the Content Track provides a springboard for aspiring creators to hone their skills and cultivate a loyal following. Through interactive workshops, inspiring talks, and networking opportunities with globally renowned content creators, participants will gain invaluable insights into best practices, content strategies, and building a unique personal brand.
Strategise: Economy Track
The Economy Track delves into the business of content creation, exploring strategies for generating revenue and achieving sustainable growth in the industry. Participants will discover innovative technologies and approaches to amplify reach, boost income, and navigate the evolving challenges and opportunities within the content landscape.
An earlier report says the 1 Billion Followers Summit, the world’s largest gathering of content creators, has extended the deadline for submissions to its ‘1 Billion Pitches’ competition, a pioneering programme, until Oct.5, 2024.
The competition offers startups and entrepreneurs a unique platform to pitch their groundbreaking ideas for the content industry to a distinguished panel of investors and international experts. Winners will gain access to invaluable support, including funding and resources, to propel their business ideas forward.
The extension follows an enthusiastic response from startups and content creators, providing more opportunities for those eager to showcase their creativity.
To be eligible for the ‘1 Billion Pitches’ competition, applicants must have a registered business and be at least 18 years old. Aspiring startup founders and content creators are encouraged to submit their ideas through the Summit’s official website.
Applications will undergo a rigorous evaluation process to ensure alignment with the programme’s requirements and objectives. A panel of judges will shortlist candidates based on specific criteria.
Selected entrants will embark on a journey of mentorship and development through a specialised programme organised by the 1 Billion Followers Summit.
The competition, taking place during the Summit in January, features three exciting stages. Initially, 25 applicants will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas. The field will then narrow to 10 for the second stage, culminating in a final round where two finalists will go head-to-head, vying for first and second places, with the opportunity to win invaluable support, including potential funding and strategic partnerships.
