Pakistan’s media landscape saw a major development as two prominent journalists, Iftikhar Ahmad and Najam Sethi, announced their resignation from Samaa TV. Their departure marks a significant shift for the channel, which has been home to several influential news personalities.

Iftikhar Ahmad shared his decision with gratitude, thanking the management and staff for their cooperation during his time at the network. He specifically acknowledged Abdul Aleem Khan, appreciating the support and trust he received throughout his tenure.

His exit comes as a surprise to many viewers who have followed his decades-long career in journalism and his contributions to political analysis and investigative reporting.

Najam Sethi also confirmed his resignation, ending his two-year association with the channel. He expressed appreciation for Aleem Khan and journalist Nadeem Malik, who facilitated the popular program Sethi Se Sawal.

Shortly after the announcement, Sethi revealed that he is joining Dunya TV, where he is expected to continue delivering political insights and commentary.

The departure of both senior journalists has sparked discussions within media circles about the future direction of Samaa TV and the potential impact on its viewership. At the same time, their move opens new opportunities for both figures as they bring their expertise and influence to other platforms.

Overall, these resignations mark a noteworthy moment for Pakistan’s broadcast industry, highlighting the continued evolution and reshaping of the country’s media environment.
