Pakistani judoka Malaika Noor has created history by winning a silver medal at the Amman Asian Open Judo Championship 2025. This is a remarkable achievement, as she has become the first-ever Pakistani woman to win a medal at an Asian-level judo competition.

Malaika, who is only 20 years old, competed in the 52kg weight category. She impressed everyone with her outstanding skills and determination throughout the tournament. In the semi-final, she defeated Jordan’s Raneem Aljazazi with a commanding performance that secured her place in the final.

In the championship match, she faced a tough Saudi opponent. Malaika fought with great courage and gave a strong challenge but eventually had to settle for the silver medal. Even though she missed the gold, her performance has brought pride and recognition to Pakistan, and her victory marks an important milestone in the country’s sporting history.

Her success is not only a personal triumph but also an inspiration for young athletes in Pakistan, especially women who aspire to represent the country in international sports.
