Gold prices in Pakistan decreased on Thursday in line with their loss in the international market. In the local market, gold price per tola reached Rs407,778 after a decline of Rs2,500 during the day.
As per the rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), 10-gram gold was sold at Rs349,603 after it lost Rs2,144.
On Wednesday, gold price per tola reached Rs410,278 after a single-day rise of Rs3,500.
The international rate of gold also saw a decrease today. The rate was at $3,865 per ounce (with a premium of $20), a loss of $25, as per APGJSA.
However, silver price per tola increased by Rs13 to reach Rs4,839.
Additionally, international gold prices held steady on Thursday, hovering near the record high hit the day before, helped by expectations of further U.S. rate cuts and political uncertainty.
Spot gold held its ground at $3,866.05 per ounce, as of 0357 GMT, after hitting an all-time high of $3,895.09 on Wednesday.
U.S. gold futures for December delivery eased 0.2% to $3,891.40.
