Internet and Social Media Access in Pakistan have been Disrupted Once Again
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterWhatsapp

Internet and social media services across Pakistan faced major disruptions on Monday, leaving users frustrated nationwide.

Many reported that popular platforms like Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) were inaccessible without using VPNs. The issue affected several major networks, including PTCL, Ufone, and Zong, with users also complaining about slow browsing and connectivity problems.

Millions of people were unable to communicate due to delays and frequent outages in messaging apps like WhatsApp in addition to social media. Businesses relying on online platforms and freelancers working remotely were among those hit the hardest.

This isn’t the first time Pakistan has faced such issues. Periodic internet disruptions have occurred in recent months, often sparking public concern over digital access and transparency.

Authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the cause of the outage or when normal services will be fully restored.

For now, users continue to rely on VPNs to stay connected and access essential services online.
