The Royal Air Force (RAF) of the United Kingdom is preparing to host experienced instructors from the Indian Air Force (IAF) to help train its upcoming batch of pilots. This partnership marks a new milestone in defence cooperation between India and the UK.

The announcement was made by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who emphasized that the initiative reflects the growing trust and collaboration between the two countries in the field of defence and aviation.

By sharing skills, technology, and expertise, both nations aim to strengthen their air forces and promote mutual learning.

Under the program, senior Indian Air Force instructors known for their extensive experience in flight operations, aircraft handling, and combat training will join RAF training centers.

Their role will be to guide and mentor new RAF pilots, helping them master both basic and advanced flying techniques.

Officials believe the collaboration will not only improve pilot training quality but also enhance cultural and professional exchange between the two air forces. The program is expected to open doors for future joint exercises, research, and innovation in aerospace technology.

Defence experts view this move as a major step toward deeper strategic cooperation between India and the UK. It aligns with both countries’ shared goals of maintaining regional stability, improving defence preparedness, and strengthening global security.

With this partnership, the RAF and IAF are setting a powerful example of international teamwork one that goes beyond borders to build a stronger, safer, and more skilled generation of aviators for the future.
