Sri Lankan shares advanced on Monday, lifted by strength across most sectors, with communication services contributing the most.
The CSE All-Share index settled 0.7% higher at 23,502.59 points.
Renuka Foods and Bogala Graphite were the top percentage gainers on the benchmark index, rising 34.2% and 25%, respectively.
Trading volume on the CSE All-Share climbed to 253 million shares from 208.5 million shares in the previous session.
The equity market’s turnover rose to 7.52 billion Sri Lankan rupees (about $25 million) from 6.71 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data.
Foreign investors were net sellers, offloading stocks worth 532 million rupees, while domestic investors were net buyers, purchasing shares worth 7.42 billion rupees, the data showed.
