Infinix Overtakes VGO Tel to Become Pakistan’s Biggest Locally Built Phone Brand

Pakistan’s smartphone market has seen a big change as Infinix has now taken the top position from VGO Tel as the country’s most popular locally assembled phone brand.

In October 2025, Infinix produced 3.12 million mobile phones, which is a strong increase compared to 2.01 million units in September. VGO Tel came next with 2.82 million units during the same month.

Other companies such as Itel, Vivo, Tecno, Samsung, and Realme also showed good month-on-month growth, even though the country’s overall mobile phone production dropped by 23 percent.

Experts believe that smartphone sales will improve next year by around 7 to 8 percent. They say this expected growth is due to a more stable currency, lower inflation, and better purchasing power among consumers.
