Sri Lankan shares slid on Thursday, weighed by a drop in real estate stocks.
The CSE All Share index shed 0.8% to 22,662.09.
Lee Hedges and Taj Lanka Hotels were the top two percentage losers on the CSE All Share, declining 8% and 7%, respectively.
Trading volume on the CSE All Share index slumped to 71.6 million shares from 157.3 million in the previous session.
The equity market’s turnover fell to 2.34 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($7.6 million) from 3.44 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data.
Foreign investors were net sellers, offloading stocks worth 119.7 million rupees, while domestic investors were net buyers, purchasing shares worth 2.32 billion rupees, the data showed.
