Pakistan govt slashes petrol price by Rs2, diesel by Rs4.79 per litre

The federal government on Sunday brought down the petrol price by Rs2 per litre to Rs263.45 for the next fortnight.

As per the notification issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the price of high speed diesel (HSD) has been cut by Rs4.79 per litre to Rs279.65.

The federal government has revised the prices of petroleum products for the next fortnight, effective from December 1, based on the recommendation of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), read the notification.

Earlier the notification for the price change in fuel was issued by the Finance Division, but this time the Petroleum Division has issued the notification.

During the last fortnightly review, the government kept the petrol price unchanged while increased the rate of high speed diesel (HSD) by Rs6per litre for the next fortnight.
