Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has taken strict action after a tragic incident in Lodhran where a young child fell into an uncovered manhole.

Deeply saddened and upset by what happened, she immediately ordered the removal of the Deputy Commissioner, holding him responsible for failing to ensure public safety in the area.

Maryam Nawaz expressed heartfelt sympathy to the grieving family and said that no parent should ever face such a painful loss due to government negligence. She made it clear that carelessness by officials will not be accepted under any circumstances, especially when it puts people’s lives at risk.

Following her instructions, authorities in Lodhran have been directed to quickly cover all open and dangerous manholes in the city. She has also ordered teams to inspect every area and fix any unsafe spots without delay. The goal is to prevent any similar accidents and make sure that public spaces are safe for everyone, especially children.

The Chief Minister emphasized that protecting citizens is the government’s top responsibility. She said that every official must take their duties seriously and respond immediately to issues like broken infrastructure or open manholes. Strict action will be taken against anyone who ignores these responsibilities.

Right now, emergency steps are being carried out across the city. Teams are working to seal manholes, repair broken covers, and identify other hazardous locations. The government aims to improve safety standards and restore people’s trust by ensuring that such incidents do not happen again.

Maryam Nawaz has promised that the case will be fully investigated and that justice will be served for the affected family.
