Rs. 300 Million Per Day! Pakistan Railways Break 30-Year Revenue Record

Pakistan Railways has reached a remarkable milestone by generating Rs. 300 million in daily revenue for fifteen consecutive days, setting a record that had not been achieved in the last 30 years.

This achievement highlights the significant progress made in the country’s railway sector and reflects the growing efficiency and modernization of operations.

Federal Minister for Railways, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, credited this success to wide-ranging reforms, modernization initiatives, and the digital transformation of railway services across Pakistan.

According to the minister, these measures have made railway operations smoother, faster, and more reliable, which has directly contributed to the increase in revenue.

Both passenger and freight segments have seen notable growth. More people are choosing to travel by train, and freight services are experiencing higher demand, showing the positive impact of improved services on both commuters and businesses.

In addition to these achievements, the government has announced plans to upgrade several key railway tracks to further enhance connectivity and efficiency.

Important routes, including the Nokundi–Rohri and Rohri–Karachi lines, are set to receive major improvements. These upgrades are expected to boost the overall performance of the railway network, reduce travel time, and increase cargo capacity.

The federal government is committed to completing all railway-sector development targets by December 31, 2026.

With continuous investment in infrastructure, technology, and service quality, Pakistan Railways is steadily transforming into a modern and reliable transport system that can meet the growing demands of passengers and businesses nationwide.

This historic revenue achievement is a testament to the country’s efforts to revive and strengthen its railways, reflecting a promising future for Pakistan’s transport and logistics sector.
