Overseas Pakistani Declared Dead in NADRA Records Returna to Pakistan

An overseas Pakistani named Imran Malik has returned to Pakistan after spending four years abroad, only to find himself facing an unexpected and shocking situation. While he was away, his own family allegedly declared him dead in NADRA’s records in April 2024 in an attempt to take control of his property. Because of this false declaration, his CNIC was blocked, and official records showed that he was no longer alive.

When Malik arrived back in the country, he learned that he could not use his identity documents or access basic services due to being listed as deceased. Feeling wronged and determined to clear his name, he has taken the matter to the Sindh High Court.

He has asked the court to restore his legal identity and take action against those responsible. A criminal case has already been registered against members of his family who were allegedly involved in the fraudulent declaration.

The court has now issued notices to NADRA and other concerned authorities, giving them four weeks to explain how this happened and what steps will be taken to fix the situation. Malik is hoping that the legal process will help him reclaim his identity and protect his rights.
