Pakistan Railways has introduced a special tourist train service to promote travel and tourism in the beautiful Thar Desert region.

This new service is designed to give travelers a unique and memorable experience while exploring one of Pakistan’s most culturally rich and scenic areas.

The tourist train will depart from Karachi Cantonment Station and travel to Khokhrapar Zero Point, passing through Chhor along the way. The journey will allow passengers to enjoy stunning desert landscapes, traditional villages, and the natural beauty of Thar during the ride.

On the first day, the train will reach Chhor, where travelers will take part in an overnight stay. Special arrangements have been made for desert camping, giving passengers a chance to experience life in the Thar Desert.

Activities include a bonfire, live music, and dinner under the open sky. For those who prefer more comfort, optional accommodation in a guest house will also be available.

On the second day, the train will continue its journey toward Khokhrapar Zero Point. Breakfast will be served on board, allowing passengers to relax and enjoy the scenic surroundings.

Upon reaching Zero Point, travelers will have time to explore local attractions, learn about the area’s history, and capture memorable photographs.

After completing the visit, the train will begin its return journey to Karachi, bringing the two-day tour to a close. Pakistan Railways has announced that this special tourist service will start from December 20.

The initiative aims to boost domestic tourism, support local communities, and encourage people to discover Pakistan’s diverse landscapes and cultural heritage in a safe and organized way.
