Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has praised Pakistan, calling it Turkey’s trusted and long-standing partner.

He said the friendship between the two nations is not temporary but a bond that will continue forever. According to him, the relationship is built on history, respect, and shared values, and will remain strong well into the future.

President Erdoğan made these remarks during a special event held to mark the induction of new naval platforms for Pakistan. At the ceremony, he formally handed over the modern wa_rship named PNS Khyber to the Pakistan Navy.

This handover is being described as an important moment in the defense cooperation between Turkey and Pakistan. It reflects years of planning, teamwork, and technological development.

Erdoğan also spoke about the ongoing MILGEM-class wa_rship project, which involves four ships being built for Pakistan. One of these ships, PNS Babur, has already been delivered.

The second vessel, PNS Badr, is expected to be handed over by June 2026. The third, PNS Tariq, is scheduled to arrive in early 2027. These timelines show a clear commitment from Turkey to support and strengthen Pakistan’s naval forces.

He said these advanced platforms would boost Pakistan’s maritime security and give the Pakistan Navy stronger capability at sea. They will support coastal defense, protect trade routes, and improve the country’s overall naval presence.

Erdoğan highlighted that relations between Turkey and Pakistan go beyond defense agreements. He described the partnership as brotherly, unbreakable, and built on shared goals.

He expressed full confidence that cooperation in technology, defense, and trade will grow even further in the coming years, benefiting both nations and helping maintain regional peace.
