Russian President Vladimir Putin said that relations between Russia and Pakistan are strong and based on mutual benefit, stressing the close cooperation between the two countries under the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.

He made these comments during an official ceremony held at the Grand Kremlin Palace, where Pakistan’s Ambassador to Russia, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, formally presented his diplomatic credentials. The event highlighted the steady improvement in ties between Moscow and Islamabad and reflected their shared interest in expanding cooperation at regional and international levels.

President Putin noted that Russia values its partnership with Pakistan and sees it as an important contributor to stability and cooperation in the region. Both countries continue to work together on political, economic, and security-related matters, particularly through multilateral platforms such as the SCO.

The ceremony reaffirmed the commitment of both nations to further strengthen diplomatic engagement and explore new areas of collaboration in the coming years.
