The federal government has introduced a new mobile application called “Raahguzar” to make travel safer and more convenient for motorists across the country. The app allows drivers and transporters to easily find registered and authorized petrol stations, helping them avoid illegal or unverified fuel outlets.

This initiative is aimed at improving transparency and regulation in the petroleum sector. By using the Raahguzar app, consumers can ensure they are purchasing fuel from approved stations that meet legal and safety standards. The move is expected to reduce complaints related to poor fuel quality, short measurements, and unauthorized pumps.

In addition to the mobile app, the government is rolling out a comprehensive track-and-trace system for fuel tankers, storage terminals, and petrol pumps. This system is being implemented in collaboration with the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority and the Punjab Information Technology Board. It will allow authorities to closely monitor the movement of fuel, ensuring that both quantity and quality are accurately maintained throughout the supply chain.

The government has also taken steps to strengthen enforcement by introducing amendments to the Petroleum Act. These changes give regulators greater authority to take action against illegal operations and improve overall compliance within the sector.

Furthermore, an explosives tracking system has been launched to enhance safety and oversight in areas where hazardous materials are handled. This system adds another layer of monitoring to protect both workers and the general public.

Together, these measures reflect the government’s efforts to modernize the energy sector, protect consumers, and ensure safer fuel distribution across the country.
