Advancing Pakistan’s journey towards a cashless economy, Zindigi -powered by JS Bank in collaboration with the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) have completely digitized Islamabad International Airport, with Zindigi Raast QR establishing it as Pakistan’s first fully digital and cashless Smart Airport.

Smart Airport Initiative by Zindigi will digitize the entire airport ecosystem. Key Features of the Smart Airport Initiative Include: Passengers at Islamabad International Airport will be able to make digital payments at all outlets using any mobile banking application via interoperable Zindigi Raast QR codes.

This milestone directly aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of a Cashless Islamabad and Digital Pakistan, focused on modernizing critical public infrastructure through citizen-centric technology.

Commenting on the initiative, Noman Azhar, CO Zindigi, stated, “Once fully implemented, Islamabad International Airport will serve as a national model for smart public infrastructure, reducing cash dependency, minimizing revenue leakages, and significantly enhancing the passenger journey.”

This milestone was made possible through the dedicated efforts and collaboration of key stakeholders, including Mr. Sadiq ur Rehman Khan, Deputy Director General (PAA); Ms. Rabia Salma, Director Commissioner & Estate; Syed Aftab Gillani, Airport Manager, Islamabad International Airport; Mr. Amjad Mukhtar Malik, Senior Joint Director Commercial; and Mr. Mohsin Khan, Head of Merchant Channels & Retail at Zindigi, whose collective support has been instrumental in bringing Islamabad International Airport’s full digital and cashless transformation to life.

It further underscores Zindigi’s role as a national digital transformation partner, working hand-in-hand with federal and city authorities to modernize the country’s economic and civic infrastructure.
