Air ticket prices from Dubai to Lahore have increased sharply ahead of the upcoming Basant festival, making travel more expensive for passengers. Travelers are now facing high fares, especially for flights leaving Dubai. Round-trip tickets currently start from around PKR 181,883 on airlines such as Gulf Air and Turkish Airlines. These flights usually take about 5 hours and 25 minutes and include one stop. Saudia Airlines is offering flights at much higher prices, with fares reaching up to PKR 338,219 for a journey lasting approximately 9 hours and 25 minutes via Jeddah.
This sudden increase in airfare is mainly due to a strong rise in demand. Overseas Pakistanis and tourists are rushing to Lahore to experience the return of the Basant festival, which is being celebrated again after more than two decades. The excitement around this historic event has led to a surge in bookings, putting pressure on airlines as they try to manage the growing number of passengers.
With Lahore preparing for one of its most vibrant and colorful festivals, travel demand is expected to remain high in the coming weeks. Passengers are advised to book early and stay updated on fare changes, as prices may continue to fluctuate depending on availability and airline policies.
