Gold prices recorded a sharp decline in the local market, pushing rates closer to the Rs. 5 lakh per tola mark.

The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association reported that the price of 24-karat gold per tola dropped by Rs. 21,400, settling at Rs. 507,762. Likewise, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold fell to Rs. 435,324, while 22-karat gold was priced at Rs. 399,061. Silver also saw a notable fall, with per tola rates sliding to Rs. 7,825.

Market experts attribute the downward trend to fluctuations in the international bullion market and evolving investor sentiment.
