Rain may disrupt the much-awaited ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 match between Pakistan and India, scheduled to take place in Colombo on Sunday, February 15. The high-voltage encounter, one of the biggest rivalries in world cricket, is now under threat due to uncertain weather conditions.

According to weather forecasts, there is a 50% chance of rain and thunderstorms around the time of the match. Reports suggest that approximately 2.1mm of rainfall could occur during the game, which may lead to interruptions or even a possible washout if conditions do not improve. In case the match is abandoned due to rain, both teams will be awarded one point each, as per tournament rules.

Currently, Pakistan are at the top of Group A with four points, having won both of their opening matches in the tournament. Their strong start has boosted team confidence and raised expectations among fans. India, on the other hand, will be eager to secure a crucial win in this high-pressure fixture to strengthen their position in the group standings.

Fans from both countries and around the world are eagerly waiting for this thrilling showdown and are hopeful that the weather improves so the full match can be played without interruptions. Given the history, intensity, and massive global viewership of Pakistan vs India clashes, even the possibility of rain has become a major talking point ahead of the game.

Cricket lovers will be closely monitoring weather updates as match day approaches, hoping that conditions clear up to allow an uninterrupted contest between the two arch-rivals.
