DSP among several police personnel martyred in Kohat terrorist attack

PESHAWAR: A deputy superintendent of police (DSP) was among several police personnel martyred in a terrorist attack in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Kohat on Tuesday.

According to police, the attack targeted the DSP of Lachi, whose police vehicle came under heavy firing by armed assailants near Shakardarra Road.

The DSP was martyred on the spot along with his two guards.

Police officials confirmed that he was among several police personnel martyred in the incident.

Following the attack, additional police contingents were dispatched from Kohat to the area, and a search operation was launched to apprehend the attackers.

Authorities have cordoned off the area, while investigations into the incident have begun.
