Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital in Karachi successfully raised Rs 56.5 crore in a single day during its annual fundraising campaign, demonstrating strong public support for the institution. The event, held virtually and across multiple donation channels, witnessed overwhelming contributions from citizens, philanthropists, and corporate donors, ensuring continued support for cancer treatment and patient care.
Notably, the hospital’s fundraising drive proceeded smoothly despite the absence of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who traditionally plays a prominent role in these campaigns. Officials highlighted that the funds raised will be utilized for medical equipment, patient support programs, and the expansion of hospital services, reaffirming the public’s trust in the institution’s mission to provide affordable cancer care.
