Tax rationalisation body formed to facilitate businesses

FAISALABAD: The Divisional Administration of Faisalabad has established a Tax Rationalisation Committee to facilitate ease of doing business and strengthen coordination between the government and the business community.

According to an official notification issued in this regard, the primary objective of the committee is to review the taxation structure of the provincial and local governments. According to the notification issued in this regard, Commissioner Faisalabad will be the convener of the committee. Additional Commissioner Coordination has been appointed as the secretary/member of the committee.

Other members of the committee included the Director of Excise and Taxation, the Commissioner of the Punjab Revenue Authority, President of the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Farooq Yousaf Sheikh, Chairman of APTPMA Bao Malik Muhammad Akram, former Chairman of APBUMA Arif Ehsan Malik, Zonal Chairman of PHMA Ahmed Afzal Awan, and former Senior Vice President of the FCCI Talat Mahmood.
