ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Guarantee Export Corporation Limited (PGECL), in collaboration with the private sector, proudly organized and participated in the Pakistan Pavilion at the prestigious Alimentaria Business Hall Exhibition held in Barcelona, Spain, from March 23 to March 26, 2026.

Recognized as one of the largest and most influential food exhibitions in Europe, Alimentaria Expo provided an exceptional platform for Pakistan to showcase its diverse and high-quality food products to the European market.

A total of six leading Pakistani companies participated in the exhibition, representing a wide range of products including rice, beverages, salt, biscuits, frozen foods, canned items, and confectionery. The pavilion attracted significant attention from international buyers, distributors, and industry leaders.

Among the participants, Nisar Rice Mills Limited emerged as a standout performer, successfully securing multiple business agreements for the export of premium Pakistani rice to European markets, further strengthening Pakistan’s footprint in the global food trade.

In another milestone achievement, Murree Brewery marked it’s first-ever participation in a European exhibition, receiving an overwhelmingly positive response and opening new avenues for exporting its products across Europe.

Other exhibitors, including Rehman Salt and prominent manufacturers of biscuits, frozen foods, canned goods, and confectionery, also reported strong business leads and promising partnerships, reflecting the growing demand for Pakistani products internationally.

The initiative, driven entirely by the private sector in collaboration with PGECL, highlights the commitment and capability of Pakistani industries to compete on global platforms. The successful participation is expected to significantly enhance Pakistan’s exports and strengthen trade relations with the European Union.
