RAWALPINDI: A man and his wife were shot and injured by two unidentified robbers, who escaped after snatching valuables from the couple in broad daylight on Wednesday within the jurisdiction of Morgah police.
Nisar Ahmad, a resident of Lalazar, lodged a complaint with the police, stating that as his brother Muhammad Mushtaq and his wife reached their home and parked their car outside, two unidentified motorcycle riders suddenly appeared and threatened them.
He said the robbers snatched gold bangles from his brother’s wife and fired shots at his brother, critically injuring him, after the couple raised an alarm to attract the attention of people nearby. The injured were moved to the district headquarters hospital. Due to their critical condition, the doctors did not allow them to record their statements with the police.
