No Extra Cost, Hajj Flights Begin from 18th April with New Lahore Route, Minister

Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, has confirmed that the preparations for Hajj 2026 are complete, ensuring that all arrangements have been made at no additional cost for the country’s 180,000 pilgrims. Of these, 120,000 pilgrims will travel under the government quota, while 60,000 will participate through the private sector.

The Hajj flights are scheduled to commence from April 18, with a notable addition this year: a new direct route from Lahore to Saudi Arabia, complementing the existing flight services from other major cities. The ministry has emphasized that every aspect of the pilgrimage—including flights, accommodation, ground transportation, and catering—has been meticulously coordinated to provide a seamless experience for pilgrims. Private companies have been closely involved to maintain high standards of service quality and operational efficiency.

This year, Pakistan is focused on fully utilizing its allocated Hajj quota, prioritizing the comfort, safety, and well-being of all pilgrims. The government’s efforts highlight not only strong bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia but also the country’s commitment to ensuring a well-organized and spiritually fulfilling journey for its citizens.
