Authorities Order to Not Ask Female Students to Remove Abayas & Burqas During Exams

The Chairman of the Board of Secondary Education Karachi, Ghulam Hussain, has announced new instructions to ensure a safe and respectful environment for female students during the ongoing 9th and 10th class examinations.

According to the new guidelines, there have been no complaints of cheating reported from girls’ examination centers so far. The board has appreciated the discipline and conduct of students and staff at these centers.

One of the key instructions is that female students should not be asked to remove their veils, including burqas and abayas, at any examination center. The chairman clearly stated that students’ privacy and dignity must be fully respected during the exams.

He also warned that strict action will be taken against any staff member who does not follow these instructions. The board has made it clear that there will be zero tolerance for any behavior that makes students feel uncomfortable.

In addition, the chairman directed that no male invigilators should be assigned to girls’ examination centers. This step has been taken to ensure a comfortable and secure environment for female candidates during their exams.

The board aims to create a peaceful and supportive atmosphere where students can focus on their exams without any stress or concern. These measures are part of broader efforts to improve examination standards and student welfare.

Officials believe that such steps will help build trust and encourage more students to perform confidently in a respectful and safe environment.
