Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Antalya, Türkiye, marking the third and final stop of his three-nation diplomatic tour, which previously included visits to Saudi Arabia and Qatar. His visit to Türkiye comes as part of his participation in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, an important international gathering that brings together world leaders, policymakers, and diplomats to discuss pressing global and regional challenges.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to engage in a series of high-level meetings on the sidelines of the forum. These include a bilateral meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, as well as interactions with other global leaders and dignitaries attending the event. The discussions are expected to focus on enhancing bilateral cooperation, regional stability, and broader international collaboration.
Earlier during his visit to Qatar, the Prime Minister held significant talks with Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. Their discussions centered on the evolving regional situation, ongoing tensions, and the importance of coordinated efforts to promote peace and stability. Both sides emphasized the need for dialogue and diplomacy to address conflicts and prevent further escalation.
In addition to regional security, the talks also covered avenues for strengthening bilateral ties between Pakistan and Qatar. Key areas of cooperation included defence collaboration, energy partnerships, and measures to boost economic resilience. The Prime Minister highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to playing a constructive role in promoting de-escalation and fostering diplomatic solutions to regional challenges, while also seeking to deepen strategic and economic relations with partner countries.
