The Sindh Government has decided to take strict action against students and exam staff involved in cheating during board examinations. This decision comes after serious concerns were raised during the ongoing matric exams in Karachi.
Reports of widespread cheating, paper leaks, and bribery have affected the credibility of the examination system. Authorities believe that such practices damage the value of education and create unfair advantages for some students.
Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah and Universities and Boards Minister Muhammad Ismail Rahu have announced a zero-tolerance policy against cheating. They have made it clear that no leniency will be shown to those involved in dishonest practices.
Under the new policy, students caught cheating will be immediately removed from exam halls. Their exam papers will be cancelled, and they may be banned from appearing in current as well as future board examinations. This step aims to send a strong message and discourage others from attempting to cheat.
Authorities have also warned that strict action will be taken against exam staff found supporting or ignoring cheating. This may include disciplinary measures, suspension, or legal action, depending on the severity of the case.
Officials say that maintaining transparency and fairness in exams is a top priority. They are taking steps to restore trust in the system and ensure that all students are assessed based on merit.
