The UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with the approval of the UAE’s Federal Supreme Council, issued the resolutions appointing Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Court, as the Vice-President of the United Arab Emirates alongside Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Sheikh Mansour has an extensive career in public service, having held several positions since 2004. He served as Minister of Presidential Affairs, Chairman of the Ministerial Development Council, and Emirates Investment Authority. Additionally, he currently chairs the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development and is a member of the Abu Dhabi Supreme Petroleum Council.
Born on November 21, 1970, in Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mansour studied in the US and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations in 1993. He served as Chairman of his late father’s office, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, until his passing in 2004. Later that year, he was appointed as the Minister of Presidential Affairs, a position created after the merging of The Office of His Highness the President and The Presidential Court.
Sheikh Mansour was named Deputy Prime Minister in 2009, and in July 2022, he was named Minister of the Presidential Court through a Federal Decree issued by the UAE President. His appointment as Vice-President highlights his long-standing dedication and service to the UAE.
