Actor and musician invited fans into his world with a series of personal photos
For his appearance at the Cannes Film Festival, musician Ali Zafar and his wife Ayesha Fazli couldn’t resist spamming their Instagram handle with jaw-dropping images of the sun-kissed skies of the French Riviera and its piercing sapphire waters.
As Ali celebrates his birthday in France this weekend, the singer put up a carousel of eight images of him and a video, showcasing loved-up snapshots of him and Ayesha as the couple turned a film festival into a romantic getaway. The first image shows a candid selfie of the beaming couple, backlit by azure sky and the dazzling sun behind them. The man himself can be seen dressed in a white shirt, with Ayesha putting a head lovingly on his shoulder.
The second image shows a clean-shaven smartly dressed Ali, alongside Ayesha, rubbing shoulders with their fellow celebrities. Ali, looking dapper in a blue velvet jacket, has his hands casually stuffed in his pockets as Ayesha, clad in a black strapless dress, places a proprietary hand on her husband’s shoulder.
Inviting fans further into his world, Ali opted for a candid mobile phone shot for his third image, a tilted black-and-white photo of him and his friends in a lift. Aiming for the mirror, the surroundings are reflected straight back to the viewer as Ali casually pouts into his phone.
Sending a selection of fans into a frenzy, the fourth image shows a delighted Ayesha beaming next to Irish actor Barry Keoghan, dressed casually in a black cap and T-shirt flashing a peace sign. Excited at the opportunity to pose with international actors, in a separate photo, a smiling Ayesha also posed next to American actor Hunter Schafer, known for her work in the HBO series Euphoria. Casually dressed and bare-faced with her sunglasses atop her head, a beaming Schafer also flashed a peace sign next to Ayesha.
True to his love for nature, Ali felt compelled to share a casual photo of a trio of ducks enjoying the local waters, capturing the stunning beauty of the river from up close. Earlier during the trip, Ali had documented his love for nature by penning the caption, “The first thing I like to do when travelling is connect to nature and the pure energy of the place. Being in nature is the best thing one can do for oneself. Connect with nature. Whether it’s rain or storm or the shining sun, embrace nature, and be happy. Always!”
Finally showing the true purpose of his trip, Ali unveiled before fans a smart photo of himself posing for the cameras at the Cannes Film Festival, dressed in the same blue velvet jacket from before. Sharing a glimpse of the electric atmosphere, Ali rounded off his post with a clip of the crowd partying the evening away with a DJ pumping up the beat.
