Pakistan’s Second Communication Satellite PAKSAT MM-1 Launched into Space

Pakistan has launched its second communication satellite, PAKSAT MM-1, to boost the country’s digital communication network. This advanced satellite was launched from China’s Xichang Satellite Launch Center and will settle into orbit 36,000 kilometers above Earth.

PAKSAT MM-1, weighing five tons, is equipped with cutting-edge communication technology. It aims to meet the growing demand for high-speed internet and seamless connectivity across Pakistan. The satellite will provide services in C, Ku, Ka Bands, and SBAS in L Band, making it a crucial addition to the nation’s communication infrastructure.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised this significant achievement, noting that it will help transform Pakistan into a digital nation. He emphasized the importance of this launch in advancing the country’s technological capabilities and improving communication services for both urban and rural areas.

This launch follows the successful mission of the ICUBE-Q satellite, which entered lunar orbit on May 3. Together, these advancements highlight Pakistan’s progress in space technology and its commitment to enhancing digital connectivity for its citizens.

With PAKSAT MM-1 in orbit, Pakistan is expected to see improvements in various sectors, including education, healthcare, and business, by providing better internet access and communication solutions. The satellite’s deployment is a significant step towards building a more connected and digitally empowered nation.
