His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, on Thursday visited the “Above the Clouds” project situated on Al Deem Mountain in Kalba city, at an altitude of 850 metres above sea level.
Sharjah Ruler observed the construction works of the “Above the Clouds” retreat, shaped like a crescent, covering a total area of 4,700 square meters.
The retreat comprises two floors; the first floor will feature a restaurant, an open café, and a reading area, while the ground floor will accommodate a multipurpose hall, a prayer room, restrooms, multiple viewing platforms, a theater, green areas, and children’s playgrounds.
Its unique location provides visitors with a panoramic view of the city’s coastline and surrounding mountain valleys, offering a captivating experience and holding significant cultural and social importance.
Sheikh Sultan also reviewed the road network plans to serve the new projects, including two roads totaling 10 kilometres and two bridges.
