Pakistani athlete Muhammad Yasir has won a silver medal at the second Asian Throwing Championship in South Korea. This yearly event brings together athletes from across Asia to compete in various throwing sports like javelin, discus, shot put, and hammer throw.

Yasir earned second place in the javelin throw with a distance of 78.10 meters. He finished behind Sri Lanka’s Rumesh Tharanga, who won the gold medal with an impressive throw of 85.45 meters. The Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) praised Yasir’s achievement, noting it as a sign of his great talent and determination.

The Pakistan Athletics Federation (PAF) celebrated Yasir’s success and praised both him and his coach, Syed Fayaz Hussain Bukhari, for their hard work. PAF President Brigadier (Retired) Wajahat Hussain and Secretary General Colonel (Retired) Shahjahan Mir acknowledged the dedication and effort put in by Yasir and his coach to reach this level of performance.

The competition was tough, with many skilled athletes from all over Asia. Despite the strong competition, Yasir’s excellent performance stood out, earning him a well-deserved silver medal. This achievement not only brings pride to Yasir but also to Pakistan, showcasing the country’s talent in athletics.

Yasir and his coach will return home on June 18, where they are expected to receive a warm and enthusiastic welcome at the airport. Friends, family, and supporters will be there to celebrate his outstanding performance and his contribution to Pakistan’s sports achievements.

This silver medal win is an important milestone in Yasir’s athletic career and serves as an inspiration for other athletes in Pakistan. It highlights the importance of perseverance, hard work, and the support of dedicated coaches. Yasir’s success at the Asian Throwing Championship is a proud moment for Pakistan and a testament to the potential of its athletes on the international stage.
