Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Afridi admitted that India deserved their win in the T20 World Cup 2024 final against South Africa in Barbados. He praised India for their consistent performance throughout the final match. Led by Rohit Sharma, India clinched the victory with a 7-run lead, earning their second T20 title after 17 years.

“I watched the match and enjoyed it. Both teams played well, but handling pressure is key,” Shaheen said. He added that India played excellent cricket and deserved their win.

Shaheen highlighted the importance of addressing Pakistan’s weaknesses after they were eliminated in the league stage. “Strong teams come through a process. We need to correct a few things and work hard for better results,” he said.

He emphasized the need for Pakistan to learn from their mistakes, improve their performance, and prepare better for future tournaments. This acknowledgment shows his sportsmanship and his desire to see Pakistan cricket grow and succeed.
