Sharjah Civil Defence Authority teams brought under control a fire that broke out in Industrial Area 4 within two minutes. No casualties were reported as a result of the fire.
Earlier, Sharjah Police’s operations room received a report at 2:05pm stating that a fire had erupted in the Industrial Area 4 directly behind the petrol station
Accordingly, a civil defence vehicle from the Samnan Fire Station as well as police patrols and the national ambulance rushed to the scene of the fire.
It was found that the fire erupted as a result of accumulations of waste and that the flames spread to five vehicles that were lined up in the vicinity of the fire.
The civil defence teams began dealing with the fire and managed to bring it under control within no more than two minutes.
The efforts exerted by the firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to other vehicles at the site and the neighbouring petrol station.
The fire brigades continued to cool the site in anticipation of any more flames and to complete the procedures for handing over the site to the competent authorities to determine what caused the fire.
