Ras Al Khaimah: Major General Ali Abdullah Bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, commended the strategic and constructive role of the ‘Safe City’ project system adopted by the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command.
This system relies on artificial intelligence technologies in the security field to support decision-making and obtain proactive information. This information is then analysed to support security predictions, which in turn facilitate the prediction and prevention of crime, as well as the control of road accidents.
This objective is accomplished by measuring the extent to which traffic safety management for drivers and road users is achieved through the advanced and intelligent technical monitoring of devices deployed across the roads of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah as part of the “Safe City” system.
This system is regarded as the most advanced in the world and is effective in monitoring and analysing potential crime hotspots and predicting criminal activity before it occurs. Furthermore, it enables the prompt response to incidents on the road, such as traffic accidents, by guaranteeing rapid access to the scene.
The Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police emphasised that the cameras, which are being installed on various traffic roads and intersections in the emirate, align with the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command’s strategy to enhance incident response by providing information and data that will support the reduction of emergency traffic and criminal response times. This is with the ultimate goal of maintaining the security and safety of community members, he added.
Furthermore, Major General Ali Bin Alwan indicated that the “Safe City” project system constitutes an integral component of the smart security monitoring apparatus, which is designed to facilitate the continuous analysis of traffic and criminal data, the reduction of alarming crimes, the dissemination and enhancement of the collective sense of security and safety, and the guarantee of community satisfaction and happiness with the level of security and services provided to them.
This is achieved through the monitoring of all potential traffic and criminal phenomena on the roads, the analysis of the resulting data, and the drawing of anticipated scenarios based on the findings of the security analysis, with the objective of making the most accurate future security predictions and responding to them in the most effective and optimal manner in support of control and management.
