RTA warns motorists of traffic delays on key roads in Dubai

In a social media post on Saturday, the Roads and Transports Authority (RTA) in Dubai warned drivers of traffic delay in a key road in Jumeirah.
According to an update on RTA’s X account, the authority said delays are expected on Jumeirah St. starting 2:00pm on Aug.17 until 5:00am on Aug.19 (Monday).

According to the post, the delay is due to maintenance works between Al Manara St. intersection and Al Thanya St. intersection in both directions from Aug.17-19, 2024.
The section near Mercato will also be undergoing maintenance works in both directions from Aug.24-26, 2024.

The authority urged motorists to plan your trips accordingly and take alternative routes to ensure your timely arrival to your destinations.
Earlier, the RTA in its social media platform X, said that motorists should expect delays on Emirates Road, between the intersection of Hatta Road and Al Ain Road, when travelling from Dubai to Abu Dhabi direction. The maintenance works is scheduled to continue until Aug.31, 2024.

To further enhance Dubai’s infrastructure, the RTA has also informs dirvers of expected delay on the Dubai-Al Ain Road at the fifth intersection with Jebel Ali-Lehbab Road in both directions. Theses delay on weekdays from 10:00pm to 6:00am, until Sept.9, 2024, due to bridge maintenance work.
Additionally, Dubai-Al Ain Road will be fully closed on weekends from 1am to 10am.
