Dhs600 was enough to end the life of a person who never thought he would be a victim of this small amount in Sharjah.
The victim was beaten to death amid the inability of his two brothers to help him, leaving behind sorrows in his family and relatives in an unfortunate incident resulting from a financial dispute that occurred on Wednesday evening in Sharjah.
The details of the incident go back to when the operations room at the Sharjah Police General Command received a report on Wednesday evening stating that one person had died and others were injured, one of them was seriously injured. All belong to Asian nationality, as a result of a quarrel and assault with a knife in one of the industrial areas in Sharjah.
Accordingly, police patrols and the National Ambulance moved to the scene of the incident. Initial examination revealed that 7 people attacked 3 brothers with sticks and knives as a result of a financial dispute over Dhs600, which the attackers demanded from the victims.
A verbal altercation took place between the disputants that developed into an assault that led to the death of one of the brothers and serious injury to another who was transferred to Al Qassimi Hospital, while the attackers fled.
The search and investigation operations and the collection of forensic evidence from the crime scene resulted in the identification of the perpetrators of the crime.
The Criminal Investigation Department officers were able to arrest the seven culprits within two hours.
They were transferred to the Industrial Comprehensive Police Station to investigate the circumstances of the crime.
The perpetrators confessed to the entire incident and used white weapons during the assault due to a financial dispute with the victims.
The case file was referred to the Public Prosecution to complete the legal procedures.
The Sharjah Police General Command confirmed that the law in the UAE guarantees the rights of all citizens and residents on its land, and there is no alternative to resorting to anything other than the law in settling disputes and returning rights to their owners. Accordingly, it appeals to the public to follow legal procedures and report any disputes that cannot be settled amicably, in order to preserve rights and establish the foundations of security and stability among members of society.
