The Civil Defence teams in Sharjah controlled a fire in a residential apartment in record time, without any injuries. In detail, a report was received by the Operations Room of the Sharjah Police General Command on Saturday, reporting a fire in a residential apartment on the fourth floor of a building in Al Nabba’a area.
Upon receiving the report, civil defence vehicles, police patrols, and the National Ambulance rushed to the scene, where firefighting teams immediately began dealing with the fire and evacuating the residents.
The fire reportedly caused dense smoke rising from the apartment balcony due to the storage of tools and equipment inside.
However, the civil defence teams quelled the fire in record time, without any human injuries.
Firefighting operation continued to ensure that the flames did not spread to other apartments and the firefighters conducted cooling operations in preparation for handing over the site to the criminal laboratory.
The Civil Defence Authority (SCD) in Sharjah urged the public and residents of buildings to refrain from using balconies for storage purposes and to adhere to safety and prevention instructions.
The SCD also urged to reporting of fires to the designated Civil Defence and Emergency numbers to ensure the safety of lives and property.
