Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant is an Emirati achievement, an Arab pride, says Mohammed Bin Rashid

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Thursday, stated that the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant is output of the vision, decision, and project of the President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
“Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant is an Emirati achievement, an Arab pride, and a global contribution to environmental protection,” Sheikh Mohammed said. His Highness via the ‘X’ platform, said, “Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant has reached full commercial operation. It is anticipated that the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant will provide approximately 25% of the country’s electricity requirements.
Moreover, it represents the largest source of clean energy in the region.” His Highness further said, “Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant had generated the greatest quantity of clean electricity per capita over the previous five years on a global scale, with 75% of this electricity produced by Barakah Plant.
Additionally, it will contribute to reduction of 22 million tonnes of carbon emissions on an annual basis, which is equivalent to removing 4.8 million cars from the roads.”
