His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, visited the Masaar project, developed by Arada over an area of 19 million square feet, with a total cost of Dhs9.5 billion.
Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Arada, Prince Khalid Bin Alwaleed Bin Talal Al Saud, Vice Chairman of Arada, and several company officials received the Sharjah Ruler.
The Ruler of Sharjah toured the Masaar project, which features 3,000 residential units, familiarising himself with the services, facilities, and amenities designed to serve all residents, providing them with a fully serviced community, including housing, infrastructure, health, education, and recreation.
Sheikh Sultan also viewed a model of one of the residential units within the Masaar project, exploring its facilities and rooms while listening to a detailed explanation of the layout, which is equipped with smart home technologies. The project is strategically located near the recreational area in the heart of the Masaar community.
The residential units are designed to ensure full privacy, allowing residents to enjoy quality family time and engage in various activities.
Masaar project is distinguished by its dense environment of trees and diverse plants connecting the six neighbourhoods, featuring over 50 types of trees, including Ghaf, Samr, Acacia, Hamama, Mahogany, Indian Cork, Spanish Cherry, African Tulip, and Damas. The final number of trees planted is expected to exceed 70,000 by its completion in 2026.
The project also offers a range of community, recreational, and sports facilities, including parks, swimming pools for children and adults, a 6.6km bike path, a dedicated cycling centre, children’s play areas, a skate park, separate fitness centres for men and women, tennis courts, basketball courts, football fields, beach volleyball courts, and a food truck area.
Additionally, the project will include a British Reigate Grammar School, with a capacity of 2,700 students, following the British curriculum, set to open in 2027.
Following this, the Ruler of Sharjah visited the Masaar Exploration Centre, which features open spaces and abundant natural light, showcasing the project and facilitating operations for residential unit owners in Masaar.
Sheikh Sultan reviewed the overall plan for the Masaar project, learning about the completion rates. The second and third phases are scheduled for completion in the next six months, bringing the total completed residential units to 1,400. The remaining three phases, which will include 1,600 residential units, are expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
