Sharjah Municipality announced that users of public parking in Sharjah will be exempted from fees on Sunday, September 15, 2024, on the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday, with the exception of public parking spaces subject to fees throughout the week and on official holidays.
This decision excludes public parking spaces subject to fees throughout the week and on official holidays that can be identified by the blue signboard.
The authorities clarified to a resident who asked, “Free on blue zones.”
The municipality responded with an Instagram comment, “No, on all days of the week, including holidays, as clearly stated in the announcement.”
The authorities have urged members of the public to abide by the traffic laws to avoid being fined for violations.
