Islamabad Traffic Police Collects Over Rs. 48 Million in Traffic Fines

From January 1 to September 13, 2024, the Islamabad Traffic Police has been actively enforcing traffic regulations, resulting in the issuance of a substantial 577,836 traffic tickets. These tickets have accumulated a total of more than Rs 48 million in fines for various traffic violations.

Additionally, during this period, the ITP has filed 951 FIRs for serious offenses, highlighting their commitment to addressing major traffic issues.

In Rawalpindi, the Traffic Police launched a focused campaign from August 25 to September 12, aimed at improving road safety and enforcing traffic laws more rigorously.

This campaign led to the issuance of 3,803 traffic tickets and imposed fines totaling over Rs 4.1 million. The campaign also saw the registration of 35 FIRs against individuals committing significant traffic violations.

Both the ongoing efforts in Islamabad and the recent campaign in Rawalpindi underscore a concerted push towards better traffic management and enhanced road safety. The goal of these initiatives is to ensure that all drivers adhere to traffic regulations, thereby reducing the number of accidents and improving overall road safety for the public.
