An official statement on social media confirmed the decision.

The reality show Bigg Boss 18 has removed a donkey named Gadharaj from its cast, following allegations from PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).

The animal’s presence had drawn significant criticism, prompting the animal rights organization to file a complaint against the show’s producers.

Viewers questioned the ethics of the show’s creators, leading to PETA’s intervention. An official statement on social media confirmed the decision.

In a detailed letter addressed to Bigg Boss host Salman Khan, PETA outlined their concerns regarding the animal’s treatment on the reality show.

The organization claimed that Gadharaj was confined within a stable and subjected to distressing conditions, including excessive noise and bright lights that frightened him.

PETA appealed to Salman Khan’s compassionate nature, urging him to consider the welfare of animals and remove them from the show’s environment.

PETA further elaborated on the health and habitat issues affecting the donkey and requested that all animals be kept away from the show in the future.

Their letter highlighted the ethical implications of using animals for entertainment, particularly in high-stress environments like reality television.

This appeal came amid growing public scrutiny of the show’s treatment of Gadharaj, culminating in the donkey’s removal from the Bigg Boss house following significant backlash.
