Domino’s UK has launched a new lockable pizza box called the Slice Security Safe to help prevent food theft among students during freshers’ week. This clever box is designed to fit in refrigerators and comes with a noise-activated alarm and keypad, keeping leftover pizza safe from hungry roommates.

A recent study revealed that 65% of students living in shared accommodations have had their food stolen, with pizza being one of the most frequently taken items. Many students often find themselves frustrated after losing their leftovers, which has prompted Domino’s to create this innovative solution.

Melanie Howe from Domino’s highlighted how annoying it is to have food taken by others, especially after a long day of classes or activities. The Slice Security Safe aims to address this issue by allowing students to enjoy their pizza without worrying about it being stolen.

With this new product, Domino’s hopes to make dining experiences more enjoyable for students by ensuring their favorite meals remain secure. This initiative not only caters to student needs but also showcases Domino’s commitment to providing creative solutions in the food industry.
