Pakistan is set to experience the last supermoon of the year tonight, according to the well-known astronomer Dr. Javed Iqbal. This supermoon will be visible at 2:28 AM PST and will appear 14% larger and 30% brighter than usual. The reason for this is that the Moon will be closer to Earth than usual, at a distance of 360,378 km. Normally, the Moon is about 384,400 km away from Earth, making this a special event.

This will be the second major supermoon of 2024. The first one, called the “Blue Supermoon,” took place on August 20 and was a spectacular sight that amazed skywatchers all over Pakistan. Supermoons like this don’t happen very often; they occur only once every decade. So, tonight’s supermoon presents a rare chance to witness the Moon in all its glory.

A supermoon happens when the Moon is at its closest point to Earth in its orbit, which makes it look larger and brighter in the sky. This type of event is always exciting for stargazers and astronomy enthusiasts. People across Pakistan will have the chance to look up and enjoy the beauty of the night sky.

If you’re interested in experiencing this extraordinary phenomenon, be sure to find a clear spot away from city lights. The supermoon will provide a stunning view, so don’t miss out on this magical moment!
