On November 14, a heavy snowstorm in the Deosai region left 15 passengers stranded while traveling from Gultari to Skardu. Cut off from all ground communication, they faced growing peril as conditions worsened. Families and locals, alarmed by the situation, quickly sought help from the authorities.

Responding to the call, the Pakistan Army launched an immediate rescue mission. Soldiers embarked on foot through treacherous terrain, enduring relentless snowfall and freezing temperatures. Despite the challenges, the rescue team reached the stranded travelers and ensured their safety.

To bolster the operation, two Army helicopters were dispatched to the area. However, the harsh weather and poor visibility made aerial assistance nearly impossible. Undeterred, the ground team persevered, completing the mission successfully.

The stranded passengers, along with the local community, were immensely relieved and grateful for the Army’s swift action. Their courage and commitment in the face of such adversity were widely lauded.

This rescue serves as a powerful reminder of the risks posed by extreme weather in remote regions like Deosai, particularly during winter. It also underscores the importance of preparedness and timely action in emergencies.

The Pakistan Army’s heroic efforts not only saved lives but also reinforced the trust and gratitude of the public. Their dedication stands as an inspiring example of service and resilience in the face of nature’s challenges.
